Lesson from the book of Ezekiel
Ezek 1:10-14
And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox, on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle over all the four. And their faces, and their wings were stretched upward: two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies: And every one of them went straight forward: whither the impulse of the spirit was to go, thither they went: and they turned not when they went. And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision running to and fro in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, and lightning going forth from the fire. And the living creatures ran and returned like flashes of lightning.
Léctio Ezechiélis Prophétæ
Ezech 1:10-14
Ps 88:6
The heavens shall confess thy wonders, O Lord: and thy truth in the church of the saints. Allelúja.
Ps 20:4
Thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones. Allelúja.
Allelúja, allelúja.
Ps 88:6
Confitebúntur cœli mirabília tua, Dómine: étenim veritátem tuam in ecclésia sanctórum. Allelúja.
Ps 20:4.
Posuísti, Dómine, super caput ejus corónam de lápide pretióso. Allelúja.
Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Luke
Luke 10:1-9
At that time, the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and sent them forth two by two before Him into every town and place where He Himself was about to come. And He said to them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest. Go. Behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry neither purse, nor wallet, nor sandals, and greet no one on the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ And if a son of peace be there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they have; for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. And whatever town you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you, and cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.’
Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Lucam
Luc 10:1-9
Ps 88:6
The heavens shall confess thy wonders, O Lord: and thy truth in the church of the saints, allelúja. allelúja.
Ps 88:6
Confitebúntur cœli mirabília tua, Dómine: et veritátem tuam in ecclésia sanctórum, allelúja, allelúja.
We offer thee our gifts, O Lord, on the Festival of blessed Mark, thy Evangelist, and we pray, that we may ever profit by his teaching, and defended by his prayers.

Beáti Marci Evangelístæ tui sollemnitáte tibi múnera deferéntes, quǽsumus, Dómine: ut, sicut illum prædicátio evangélica fecit gloriósum: ita nos ejus intercéssio et verbo et ópere tibi reddat accéptos.

of Apostles
It is truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, to entreat Thee humbly, O Lord, that Thou wouldst not desert Thy flock, O everlasting Shepherd, but, through Thy blessed Apostles, wouldst keep it under Thy constant protection; that it may be governed by those same rulers, whom as vicars of Thy work, Thou didst set over it to be its pastors. And therefore with Angels and Archangels, with Thrones and Dominations, and with all the hosts of the heavenly army, we sing the hymn of Thy glory, evermore saying:
Ps 63:11.
The just shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall hope in him: and all the upright in heart shall be praised, alleluia, alleluia.
Ps 63:11
Lætábitur justus in Dómino, et sperábit in eo: et laudabúntur omnes recti corde, allelúja, allelúja.
May thy holy mysteries, we ask, O Lord, be to us a continual safeguard, and through the prayers of blessed Mark, thy Evangelist, ever defend us from all adversities.
Through our Lord…
Tríbuant nobis, quǽsumus, Dómine, contínuum tua sancta præsídium: quo, beáti Marci evangelístæ tui précibus, nos ab ómnibus semper tueántur advérsis.
Per Dominum…
Pro rogationibus
Mercifully grant our prayers, we beseech thee, O Lord, that while we receive thy gifts in tribulation, we may be comforted, and so increase in thy love.
Through our Lord…
Pro rogationibus
Vota nostra, quǽsumus, Dómine, pio favóre proséquere: ut, dum dona tua in tribulatióne percípimus, de consolatióne nostra in tuo amóre crescámus.
