Lesson from the book of Isaias
Isa 66:12-14
Thus says the Lord: Lo, I will spread prosperity over her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing torrent. As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms, and fondled in her lap; as a mother comforts her son, so will I comfort you; in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort. When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bodies flourish like the grass; the Lord’s power shall be known to His servants.
Léctio Isaíæ Prophétæ
Is 66:12-14
Matt 11:25
I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You did hide these things from the wise and prudent, and did reveal them to little ones.

Confíteor tibi, Pater, Dómine cœli et terræ, quia abscondísti hæc a sapiéntibus, et prudéntibus, et revelásti ea párvulis.

Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
Matt 18:1-4
At that time, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is greater in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in their midst, and said, Amen I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whoever, therefore, humbles himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Matthǽum
Matt 18:1-4
Luke 1:46; 1:48-49.
My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour; because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid. He Who is mighty has done great things for me.
Luc 1:46-49
Magníficat ánima mea Dóminum: et exsultávit spíritus meus in Deo salutári meo: quia respéxit humilitátem ancíllæ suæ: fecit mihi magna qui potens est. (Allelúja, allelúja.)
May we perform with pious mind the sacramental rites, O Lord, in honor of the holy Martyrs, and by them, may both protection and joy increase for us.
Through our Lord…

It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:
Communis
Deut 32:10-12
He led her about and taught her, and He guarded her as the apple of His eye. As an eagle He spread His wings to receive her and bore her up on His pinions. The Lord alone was her leader.
Deut 32:10-12
Grant, we beseech You, almighty God, that we may follow more and more the faith of those whose memory we venerate in receiving Your sacrament.
